Somewhere between the quiet of a hotel lobby and the click of a well-worn Fujifilm, Guest Number 9 takes shape: not a persona for its own sake, but a way of looking.
Guest Number 9 is the editorial identity of Finn Mooney, an Irish photographer and traveller documenting hotels, cities, and architectural detail.
The project is built around a simple idea: places are not merely visited; they are observed. Through photography and writing, Guest Number 9 explores the atmosphere of arrival, the character of a room, and the details that make a destination memorable.
This space is a record of that perspective. A home for images and writing drawn from travel, rooms, and the design of places as they are lived in.

Stay
Intercontinental Hôtel-Dieu, Lyon, France Beneath the vast dome of Lyon’s Hôtel-Dieu, the InterContinental is a study in scale, light and atmosphere.
